Elderly Centre

The elderly centre has been in existence for a very long time and is open daily from
10am to 5 pm.

The Ramgarhia Elderly Centre was founded in July 1990 to address the concerns and the needs of a
very vital part of our community, the elders.

The venue of its conception was 270 Neville Road, London E7. Amongst the 26 founder members, who were elected as Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary respectively to head a committee of 12 executive members.

Elderly Centre arranges day trips and birthday celebrations for its members and also enjoy
facilities of the Gurdwara. The Gurdwara Sahib had kindly provided accommodation in the way of
an office and a substantial communal room. The communal room was used for various
activites, including TV viewing, discussions and reading of newspapers.

From 1991 to 1997, the Centre continued to progress their activities with the given resources.
A milestone was achieved in the month of April 1997 when the Ramgarhia Elderly Centre was registered
as a charitable Trust. The membership of the Centre was around 120.

Members of the Elderly Centre now use 8 Neville Road premises for their activities.
